Step by Step

Step 7

If you click on the blue arrow next to the "Affiliate Configuration", you will notice two more links: "Add Affiliate" and "Add Payout".   Click on the "Add Affiliate" link and you will see a screen in the right frame similar to the one below.

This function enables you to manually add affiliates, either because one had difficulties doing it himself, or because you have a prequalification process that you need to do and wouls rather enter the information yourself.  YOu can use it if you are transferring your per-existing affiliates to your Miva built-in system.  Items in the screen are self explanatory.  Since the affiliate tagged URL (the URL that an affiliate will be using) will contain the login, using e-mail addresses for login may cause problems.  As you can see, since you are the one entering the information, the "Application Status" is approved by default.  You can change that if you wish.  The next tab is the "Info." tab and that is simply the affiliate's personal & demographic infromation.  We will not go into it here since it is self explanatory.  You obviously need to have this information at hand to enter it.  After you fill-out the "Info." screen, click on the last tab: "Commission".

You can now specify the commission you want to pay the affiliate on click-throughs or orders.  You can specify an amount that differs from the default.  Specify that then click add.
