The last option we need to talk about before adding your category is the "Images" tab. 

This will allow you to use images for your category titles on both the side navigation bar and at the top of the category page.  (Aside from using an uncommon font or image for your category titles there are other design reasons for using images in the side navigation bar.  For a more in depth discussion of this issue click here.) Keep in mind when creating your side navigation bar images that Miva Merchant will automatically add 10 pixels of space on either side of the image which will make the side bar wider.  

Unless you have already decided upon the colors you will be using we recommend that you add your category images at a later time.  Click here to see the section on store colors.

The "Tree Image" refers to the side navigation bar, and the "Title Image" refers to the image at the top of the page.  To upload an image for either option click on the "Upload File" button.  This will bring up a box that will allow you to type in the path to your image or 'browse' your computer for it.  This is the same process as finding a file on your computer.   Once you have located the folder that your image is saved in make sure that you select "image files" from the drop down selection box (note: it will be defaulted to HTML files so you may not see the image even in the correct folder until you change this).

Once you have located your image, click "open" and it will transfer the correct path to the "Upload File" box.  If you have already uploaded an image with the same name you will have to select the "Overwrite" check box.  Now click the "Upload" button.  Once you have 'uploaded' an image it is on your server and can be referenced from there (click here to find out more).
